God has truly blessed Christ Church in the past year!
We have seen people come to know Jesus Christ as their
personal Savior and seen many people draw closer in
their walk with God.
I want to congratulate each and every person in
Christ Church for their hard work! I can't say this enough
but it takes all of us doing God's will together to grow the
church and I am so proud of everyone*s hard work! And for
some reason if you have not had the opportunity to be a
part of this moving of the HOLY SPIRIT in the past year I
challenge everyone to get involved in the coming year! All
of us have family and friends that have still not accepted
Jesus Christ as their Savior.
My prayer for Christ Church this year is that
everyone would have the chance to lead family and
friends to the LORD. What greater gift could anyone give
somebody they love than the message of Christ love for
them! As we start the new Christian year with Advent it's
a time of 'Hope and Joy'. As Christians we confess and
proclaim that 'the Word became flesh and lived among us'
(John 1:14). This is the great message of the incarnation,
that Jesus was born into human history in the fullness of
time for the salvation of the world, that is for you and me!
This is what we seek to celebrate, to proclaim, and to
manifest to all people in this particular season of the
church year of grace. God loved us sooooo much that He
sent his Son into the world to cover our sins your and
mine! Advent is a time of both thanks for the gift of Christ
to us in the past and a time of anticipation of his second
coming. It contains both threat and promise, which is
carried out through the order of worship during the season.
God has blessed Christ Church and our families in the
past year and there are greater blessings to come if we
only begin to center ourselves on God!
As we start the beginning of the Christian year my
challenge is that we draw closer to God. Everyone one of us
know what we have and have not done in the past year
for God!
My challenge is that we commit to do just a little bit
more in the coming year. So I guess that I have two
questions to ask you as we start into this new year?
       1. Have you faith in Jesus Christ as your personal
        savior?
       2. Are you going on to perfection?

This is our challenge as the Body of Christ! We have
made great step towards this perfection but we still have
a long ways to go! Together we can make it, together we
can over come all doubt, together in Jesus Christ we will
win the victory.
My prayers are continually with you and I have been
so blessed in the past year and am looking forward to the
coming year and what God is going to do through our
lives.
From our family to yours may God bless you and
keep you as we celebrate this Advent season together of
Peace, Hope and Joy proclaiming the 'Good News' of Jesus
Christ! And I pray we see many souls come to know Jesus
Christ through our efforts!

Saturday, Oct. 13th was a very busy day for some of Christ
Church family members. We got our fire going at around
8:00AM and had apple butter going by 8:30. We were few
in the beginning, but as 9:30 approached, people began to
come. Everyone brought arm loads of food. We made coffee,
hot chocolate and had soft drinks. We began to eat and
drink and stir.
We had 44 people and everyone had a hand on the
stirring stick. The oldest stirrer was (?) and the youngest
were Levi Jones -1 year old and little Stephen Boggs - 2
months old.
We had a beautiful day and made very good use of it. Besides
stirring the apple butter, we heard many tall tales, played on
the trampoline, swings, and slide and fished.
The children had a very good time picking up potatoes as
Rusty plowed them out. The were very happy to help Pastor
Doug harvest his potatoes.
At the end of the day we had 89 pints of apple butter. These
are being sold by the children for $5.00 per pint. If you want to
buy some see Linda Jenkins.
