The first Progressive Dinner of 2007 was held on July 14th.  The
progression started at Alice Lou Ware
's with wonderful Salads
being served.  Everyone ate too much to start
, knowing they'd be
totally stuffed by the end of the progression.

Pork!  Let's go eat!
After salads and fellowship, everyone hopped in their cars and
headed down the lane to Sutton, across the river bridge up
the hill, past Pastor Doug's house and on to Ruth Atkins'
house for the main course of beef and pork with oodles of
vegetables.

Doug say's it definately

The ladies prepared the
veggies! While Doug
cut the meat!
Umm! That was good!
It looks like Ruth had a really good meal.  Before anyone could
leave for the last house of the progression, there was a big
discussion about a strange object sitting at the rear of Ruth's
patio! Do you know what it is?
Almost everyone walked to the last stop
in the progression.  It was at Larry &
Beth's house
, which is just up the hill
from Ruth's back yard.  The question
on everyone's mind was should we walk
or drive, and if one walked, was it
easier to go through the back yard or
around the front and up the street?
Here's a view of Ruth's house from
Larry's back deck!! It was quite a hike
up the hill. Joy and I climbed up the
back way and went back the front
street route.  I don't know that it was
any easier by way of the street.  You
can see that the Griskin's also clim
bed
the hill.  Even Ruth took the back yard
route!
The ladies cut the dessert while the rest of us sat around and
told stories and the kids played with the family dog. The
desserts were really good!
After everyone stuffed the last crum of pie, cake, brownie or
whatever in their mouths, we all went in to ogle the book case
that Dave Stump built for Beth & Larry's front room. After dark,
LJ lit a fire in the yard and made smore's.  Wish you'd been
there.  Don't miss the next one!
